Abigail provides a creative editing solution primarily for commercial directors. This service can be as simple as just the offline edit or it can encompass the whole post-production process. Whichever option you choose; skilled storytelling, good technical knowledge, a collaborative approach, excellence in service and value for money, are all part of the package.

FULL HOUSE – We’ll handle the post production workflow from set to station delivery. A specialized post-production producer manages the entire process, enabling everything to run smoothly from start to finish, and keeping Abi focused on the creative decisions.

APARTMENT – Need just an editor? This is your option.

ROOM SERVICE – Abi is an excellent and thorough assistant editor with abundant experience. She has assisted the following editors: Naudene Leisegang, Erez Laufer, Martin Elsbury, Adam Rudd, Warren Mac Carthy, Dave Dickie, Tim Goodwin and Jackie le Cordeur through various production companies such as Upstairs Post, Africa Wildlife Films, HD Hub, Premiere Post and Off the Fence.

HISTORY

Abigail nearly missed her calling as an editor by the distraction of theatre set design. Thankfully film school was irresistible and during her years there she discovered a love for the craft of editing, confirmed by receiving the Best Editor Award in her graduating year.

After several years of assisting and editing across genres, Abigail made a break into commercial editing in 2008. She cut a half hour motorbike video for a director she hadn’t met nor knew anything about. The director turned out to be one of the top commercial directors in South Africa – Lourens van Rensberg (7 Films). Impressed with the edit, he wanted to see what she could do with one of his commercials. This is the Lenthéric Solo, “Throw Away Can”.

Since then Abigail has found her niche in commercial work where doors have opened naturally. She has editing for brands such as Woolworths, American Swiss, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Lenthéric. Internationally she has edited for Gogurt (U.S.A.) and Capri Sonne (Germany).
